此处的 reading 是名词，表示“阅读“。如：reading-room 阅览室,do some reading 看点书;

2.was born 出生，（只用于第一、三人称单数），其他人称和数用 were born，was 是 am, is 的
过去式；were 是 are 的过去式。如：
My brother was born in Beijing,but I was born in Shanghai.
When were you born?你是什么时候出生的？
3. play football 踢足球，球类名词前不加冠词，如：
play basketball 打篮球， play tennis 打网球
play badminton 打羽毛球，play table tennis 打乒乓球
4. like doing sth.喜欢做某事（表示习惯和爱好）
like to do sth..喜欢做某事（指具体某次的事情）。如：
I like taking a walk after supper, but I don’t like to take a walk tonight.
