Design purpose
Through the class,make students learn what food are healthy and why they are
healthy.They use what they have learned to think and describe healthy food they
think by working in groups and share their ideas.
Teaching objective
1. Language objective:
(1) In the context learning what contains in the healthy food.There are 5
components which are protein, calcium ,vitamin, carbohydrate, fat and sugar .
(2) In the context using sentence structure ______is healthy,It has________.

2. Difficulties:
(1) pronunciations and meanings which are really long and difficult like
carbohydrate and calcium.
(2) Express why the food are healthy according to knowledge they have .
Design steps
Greetings:Greeting: Good morning, boys and girls. T: Do you like delicious food?
S:Yes.
Warmer: I am crazy about delicious food. I have a lot of yummy food. Let’s see. If
you know them, please tell. (Play a video about delicious food, students say the
food they know.)
Presentation:(1) Just now you saw lots of delicious food. What food do you know?
Please talk to your partners.(students talk to their partners about the food they
know)
Ask several students to tell the food they know.(2)Do a pair work ask questions

Teacher ask some groups to do the feedback of the pair work.
(3)Task1:Find 5 secrets of being healthy,ask students to use I-pad to check up the
new words of protein,calcium,vitamins,carbohydrate,fat and sugar.Use I pad to help
students understand the meanings and pronunciations.
Teacher assigns one task to one group with one secret,then teacher walk around to
help students if they are in trouble.
(4) Each group teach the word they looked up from I-PAD,sharing one secret they
have learned to other groups.other groups learn from.
(5) Task2:Demonstrate fish is healthy,because it has protein.Let students to think
about why fish is healthy using the words they learned from the I-PAD.Encourage
students to think as much as possible.
(6) Talk about the healthy food and share with 3of the students randomly.Students
stand and walk around to share to other 3 friends.
(7) Showing pictures of lovely breakfast, asking students do you think the food are
healthy and why?Encourage students to think and express the reasons as much as
possible.
(8) Demonstrate a shopping list and illustrate what you are going to buy in the
supermarket and why you buy those stuffs.We offer each one a shopping list,,tick

the food you think are healthy using I-PAD for help to check up the word you don’t
know.
(9) Ask individual students to show their shopping list and tell us the reasons.
