【知识详解·记】
在英语中, and, but, or, so 属于并列连词, 并列连
词可以用来表示并列关系、转折关系、选择关系或因
果关系等。
and
意为“和, 又”, 表示并列关系, 常用来连接表
示对等成分的单词、短语或者句子, 表示意思
的顺延或增补
but 意为“但是”, 表示转折关系, 所连接的成分
意思相反或相对
or
意为“或者”, 表示选择关系; 另外, 在否定句
中否定并列成分时, 用or, 而不用and; “祈使句
+or+简单句”结构, 也是一种常用句型。在此
句型中, or意为“否则”, 祈使句相当于一个
条
件, 可以和“if”引导的条件状语从句进行转
换
so
表示“因此、所以”之意, 常用来连接两个简
单句, 这两个简单句有意思上的因果关系; so和
从属连词because(因为)不能连用

and顺承和肯并; 选择、否并、否则or;
but用来表转折; so 是因此表结果。
(肯并表肯定句中的并列成分用and 连接; 否并表否定
句中的并列成分用or 连接)。

As we know, students should learn how to get on well

who are in trouble. We should also treat others in an
