The patient must take in more healthy air. 一、什么是形容词（用于修饰名词或代词，描述被修饰成分的性质、特征、状态或属性等。 ) 2. 放在系动词 (be 动词）后作表语，即主语补语。 3. 作宾语补足语大多数形容词既可以作定语又可以作表语，但是有部分形容词只能作表语。　　　　　 T or F ：　 He is an ill man. 　 The man is ill. 　 She is an afraid girl. 　 The girl is afraid. 大多数以 a 开头的形容词都属于这一类。这类词还有： afraid ， alike ， alive ， alone ， asleep ， awake , ill, well, unwell 等。 F F T T 容易混淆的形容词： 1 . alone 和 lonely The old man likes to be ________ in the garden. She has been ________ for several days. 3. alive 和 living Is his grandfather _________ in the world? She was the best ________ writer in the country. alone lonely ( 单独的 ) ( 寂寞的，孤单的 ) sick ill alive living 4. sleepy 和 asleep Her baby is fast ________ in the room. After a long walk, he felt _________. asleep sleepy （睡着的）（困倦的） the dead ， the living ， the rich ， the poor ， the blind ， the hungry eg : The poor are losing hope. The old are taken good care of in our country. 某些形容词加上定冠词后变成名词，可以泛指一类人，与谓语动词的复数连接。有些形容词表示主动的意义，可解释为“令人 … 的”，同时有一个相应的形容词或分词表示被动的意义，可译为“感到 … 的”。 eg : 1. The have just moved into a pleasant room. They were pleased with their new room. 2. The children’s stories are interesting. We are interested in collecting stamps. 试一试： exciting 和 excited He was ________ when he heard my words. What a big _________ present! frightening 和 frightened The boy was _________ when he saw the __________ dog. excited exciting surprised surprising frightened frightening 二、什么是副词？副词：主要用于修饰动词、形容词和副词，描述被修饰成分的特征或状态。 eg : Jim plays basketball well . She is very beautiful. Jim plays basketball very well. ( 修饰动词 play ) ( 修饰形容词 beautiful ) ( 修饰副词 well ) 副词的分类：副词可以分为时间副词，地点副词，方式副词，程度副词，疑问副词，关系副词，连接副词，句子副词。 ( 一 ) 副词在句中的位置： 1) 大多数方式副词位于句尾，但宾语过长，副词可以提前，以使句子平衡。（方式副词 well ， badly ， hard 等只放在句尾。） eg : Don’t go out. It’s raining heavily. Don’t worry. The boy can do it very well. We could see clearly a strange light ahead of us. 2) 频度副词，如 always, often, sometimes, usually 等通常放在动词之前，但当句子里有 be 动词，助动词或情态动词时，则要放在它们之后。 eg : The old are always afraid of cold weather. He usually has lunch in the factory. I have never been to Beijing. 3 ）副词修饰形容词或副词则告诉我们这些形容词或副词的程度，一般位于这些词前。 eg : He runs very fast. Jane sings quite well. That’s all right. His handwriting is very perfect. 改错： I very like sports. I like sports very much. friendly ， deadly ， lovely ， lonely ， likely ， lively ， ugly ，仍为形容词。方式副词多以 - ly 结尾如： quickly, softly, heavily, quietly 但是　 T or F ： She sang lovely. 　　　 He spoke to me very friendly . 　　　 Her singing was lovely . 　　　 He spoke to me in a very friendly way. F F T T 　　 daily ， weekly ， monthly ， yearly ， early 　　有些以 - ly 结尾既为形容词，也为副词。 The Times is a daily paper. The Times is published daily . Tom usually goes to bed early . If you are early enough, you can catch the train. enough 在英语中有三种词性：形容词，副词和名词。作形容词修饰名词时，可放在名词之前或之后；作副词修饰形容词或副词时，应放在所修饰的词之后。 eg : I have enough time to read the book. He wasn ’t careful enough with the knife. He cut himself. Jack didn ’t run quickly enough to catch the bus. 难点解析： enough I have had enough . (adj.) (adv.) (adv.) (n.) 2.
