On my fourteen birthday, my dad got me a puppy that I named him Chad. One day, Chad and I walked to a
store to get a soda. On the way, I noticed a man and woman arguing to each other. The woman tried to get rid of
the man, but the man kept followed her. Chad bolted (突然狂奔) from my side and run between the man and the
woman. As soon as the man took a step forward, Chad showed his tooth and barked at him. I called him to come
back, so he ignored me. The woman finally got into a taxi and left. I saw him crying and her arms were covered

with bruises (淤青). The man rushed away short after she got into the taxi. I was very proud of Chad.

When I was 12, I met Jane in a college, which came to China with her parents. Her parents teach English at
that time. We soon made friend with each other. Her Chinese was very well while I had difficulty speak English.
In order to help me my English, she spoke as much English as she could when we were together. Before long, I
could speak English well but at the same time I also made a great progress in my written English. Unfortunately, a
year later, Jane returned home with his parents. And we had been out of touch with each other since then.

Last Saturday, I took Peter, a student in America, to experience some Chinese cultures. Everything which he
experienced that day was a great attraction to him.
In the morning, Peter and I went to visit tea museum, where he learnt a lot about Chinese tea. After that, we
go back home and then I taught him to make zongzi. Although it was a bit of difficult, he still enjoyed it. In the
afternoon, we had a Chinese class, learned the history of Chinese characters. He also tried to write some character
with a Chinese brush and even lost him in it. Peter kept saying "It’s amazed. " all the way, which made me real
proud of our rich cultures.
